One of the most sought-after events organizers on this side of the map, Belle de la Fuente is always on the run to host a party or attend a meeting or pacify her friend Vanessa, Jessica Simpson’s Filipina counterpart. Despite all the stress her job gives her, she is addicted to the rush, and somehow, this makes her feel complete. Then her best friend Gino comes back from the States after four long years. Suddenly, something inside of her stirs and makes her wonder: could it be possible that she may not really know what she’s missing? Or worse, that she already missed?
I like the chemistry between Gino and Belle, but I found Gino just a tad bit more timid than I like. Vanessa is cute and maybe this is the ditz-loving part of me talking, but sometimes, I felt like Belle and her friend were condescending towards Vanessa. And of course I didn’t like that. I used to hate girls like Vanessa but in recent years, I’ve come to appreciate them as they are and actually find them adorable. 
Oh, and I love love the ending.

Mm…it’s been so long since I read this story so I can’t remember what it’s about. And I don’t even have the book with me. But basically, Gal on the Go is about Belle dela Fuente’s journey on discovering love. She has a really active social life (it comes with the job) and a fulfilling nice-paying career, but something’s missing in her life and that’s LOVE. More particularly, it’s the love that’s been standing in front her the whole time. It’s obvious that she’s in love with Gino since whenever – and vice versa – but she’s too stubborn to acknowledge it. Bella actually even pushes him to date Vanessa and so he does and that’s when she starts to feel jealous and realize the truth about her feelings. In the end of course, the truth comes out and they live happily ever after.
