I Just Like Reading. You Should, Too.

Synopsis: Abigail Green gets lost on her way to her client’s house and that’s how she gets to meet Max Wingate. Max shows no hesitation in showing his interest in Abby, but the past makes Abby a more formidable challenge than he’s used to.

It’s a typical Catherine George novel. Don’t expect powerful sensuality – the kind that Lucy Monroe, Jane Porter, Miranda Lee, and Lynne Graham are known for. It’s more like Helen Bianchin and Sara Craven. The pace is moderate, the characters a bit passive because of the numerous inner conflicts they have to struggle with. The best Catherine George book I like happens to be the first one I’ve read of her works as well. Its title is Lair of the Dragon and unfortunately, An Italian Engagement doesn’t quite come close.
