Series Summary: Cat, aka Catherine, Cristine, and Kitten (for Bones’ use only), is a half-vampire intent on killing vampires because they’re evil, her dad was one and he raped her mom, and for other family issues that would be discussed in the book.

Enter Bones: other readers say this character should remind me of Spike from Buffy, but since I wasn’t really a fan of the series, it didn’t register. Nevertheless, I liked him a lot. He’s a Master Vampire (I kinda wish they had a better name for this, but anyway) and after some sexy, funny twists in the story, he offers Cat a choice: be his protege and learn how to kill Master Vampires or…well, die.

Review: There are three books in the series so far – Halfway to the Grave, One Foot in the Grave, and At Grave’s End – with the fourth one coming out in…May, I think. I’ve read the first and never stopped reading till I got to the end of Book 3. My final say on the series: SUPERB!

I’ve tried reading the few bad reviews on this series in Amazon just to be objective – see if they saw something I did – and the most I could come up with was that this was like a copycat for Buffy. Can’t say anything about that but I STILL think this is a helluva great series and I really do looooooove Bones!

I never thought I’d find someone as adorable as Eric Sinclair from the Betsy Series of MJD but Bones stole my heart completely.

One big YEY for Jeaniene (her name’s hard to spell, don’t you think?) Frost. Hope the series lasts forever!!!

My Review: Color me biased but since I’m not that experienced, I prefer the same qualities in my heroines. When I read that Emma’s a widow, I almost didn’t read it. Thankfully, I gave it a try. And thankfully, she was only a widow in disguise (that’s not a spoiler since it’s revealed really early in the book).

I was content to read this as a B-rating book, you know, not much of a tearjerker but pleasant enough, but I was quite surprised that it turned out to be more…romantic in the end. This book definitely made me a fan of Victoria Dahl.

My Review: Of all the YA I’ve read, THIS was probably the most realistic. Funny, too. Especially when this scene comes about —

La la la — this is Courtney pretending not to care.

The writing style was quite unique as POV switches between characters as well as the past and present.

I’d love to read more from this author!

My Review: I loooooooooove this book. Reminds me why SEP has long been my idol. Her secondary characters are almost as good as her primary ones – I’m pretty sure that’s deliberate on her part because honestly, you can’t have secondary characters as adorable as your hero and heroine.

It’s tender, funny, and heart wrenching. Must Buy!!!!

My Review:
THIS is the closest I’ve found to MJD’s Undead series. My only complaint? She’s so quick to be attracted to other guys. Blade Campbell – her lover for several centuries, her maker, powerful vampire, and hunk – should be enough the way Eric Sinclair is enough for Betsy. But that’s really just a pet peeve of mine so don’t mind that. This book – series – is worth your money.
